Virgin London Marathon 2011

Charity Challenge

Janice Forsyth successfully completed her challenge last year by running the Virgin London marathon and 6 days later ran in the hilly Stena Drilling Balmoral 10k.  She raised including gift aid a total of £1,499.08 to be divided between Saving Sight in Grampian and Sue Ryder Care.

Janice is secretary to Professor John V Forrester, Head of Section of Immunology & Infection at Aberdeen University whose Ophthalmology Research Group benefits directly from funds raised by Saving Sight in Grampian to aid research into blinding diseases of the eye.

Janice's late husband Bill Gordon who suffered from Huntington's Disease was superbly cared for by the wonderfull staff at the specialist Sue Ryder care home at Dee View Court, Aberdeen.  Bill enjoyed all Dee View Court had to offer and lived happily there until he died in 2006.
